Bio - Janice Waugh
With over 20 years of business and communications experience, Janice now focuses exclusively on what she does best: writing.
Janice is known for quickly understanding the message of importance to her clients and creatively writing it as a message of importance for their customers. She has worked in business-to-business and consumer markets. She has helped high tech, manufacturing, service and retail organizations refine their communications and build their brands.
While writing is her current focus, Janice brings a wealth of business knowledge to her clients. She has built and sold her own company, successfully navigated through an economic recession, developed brand names, sold them and launched new ones, nurtured emerging markets and caused established businesses to look at their operations in new ways.
Her company, MW Productions, produced conferences and trade shows for the call centre community before the term was even defined. Starting in 1988, she developed the events first on the domestic front and eventually marketed to a global client base attracting delegates from over 25 countries. In the late 90's, the events were sold to a company building a strategic portfolio of call centre trade shows and publications.
After selling MW Productions, Janice sought new knowledge by traveling for ten months and obtaining an MA in History from the University of Toronto.
With an ever curious mind, Janice offers her clients a strong understanding of business and marketing, a broad general knowledge, research skills and a creative approach to words.
